Despite showing promise at the ECS Season 3 Finals by reaching the semi-finals and placing 2nd at ESL One: Cologne 2017, the team placed 9th-11th at PGL Major Krakw 2017, marking yet another Major group stage exit. FNS arrived in the team and STYKO joined on a trial period a bit later. Cloud9 ultimately won NA's first and only Major. It was announced that he stepped down from the lineup, as he wanted to become a backup player and full-time streamer for Cloud9, although at this point he had already decided to retire from the game. Rejoining the scene in 2022, Cloud9s new CS:GO roster has made waves in the North American scene, most recently dominating in IEM Rio and IEM Dallas.
